ALLOWED DRUG USE IN HOME/PRESENCE

Preliminary information indicated that a two-year old child had gained access to a handgun and shot his father in the arm. The father was identified as an employee with the Department of Natural Resources. The Thomasville Police Department was called to a residence at in Thomasville, Georgia where an individual identified as JONATHAN SHARP had been shot in the arm. Upon arrival, officers contacted SHARPE and his girlfriend TIFFANY DAVIS who both stated their two-year old son had managed to get access to a handgun and fired one shot which struck SHARP in the arm. SHARP is employed as a Game Warden with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR.) The fired handgun is believed to be his department-issued backup weapon. BAGGETT advised both SHARP and DAVIS were located at Archbold Memorial Hospital where SHARP was expected to undergo surgery. Officers had secured their residence and were remaining on scene. DAVIS had reportedly provided verbal consent to search the residence to patrol officers. AGENT JOHNSON requested BAGGETT
obtain written consent from either DAVIS or SHARP.
