Captain Thomas “Buster” King – Sexual Assault of Inmate (2023)
In February 2023, Captain Thomas Earl “Buster” King, a detention officer with WCSO, was arrested by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) on charges of engaging in sexual acts with a 21-year-old female inmate while she was in custody. He was charged with two counts of sexual contact with an employee or agent and two counts of violation of oath of office. King turned himself in to the Wilkinson County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center following a grand jury indictment.
