DEKALB COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT
On September 10, 2021, an officer observed a Silver Infiniti Q40 driving erratically on Cobb Pkwy. The vehicle crossed lane markers multiple times, prompting a traffic stop. The driver, identified as Jason George, presented a DeKalb County Police ID and driver’s license. The officer detected alcohol odor, bloodshot eyes, and slurred speech. George admitted to drinking at a bar. He failed field sobriety tests and a breath test indicated a BAC of 0.129. George was arrested for DUI and failing to maintain lane. His DeKalb Police ID was confiscated, and he was transported to Acworth City Jail. The incident was recorded on body and dash cameras.
