QUANAY LASHUNDRA CARTER

PATTEN PROBATION DETENTION CENTER

UNTRUE OR DECEPTIVE STATEMENTS

DECERTIFIED IN 2023

On Halloween night, 2020, officers with the Nashville Police Department in Berrien County Georgia responded to a shooting at McPherson Avenue in Nashville, Georgia. Officer Robert Owens found Quanay “Chuck” Carter a PATTEN PROBATION DETENTION CENTER officer in the trauma room with multiple gunshot wounds. As they attended to Carter, another shooting victim was reported nearby. Carter, who had been shot four times, was treated and stabilized for transport. Marquis Johnson, who drove Carter to the hospital, recounted that they were at the Tin Roof when an armed man opened fire from a brown Chevrolet Impala. Blood stains in Johnson’s car confirmed the story.

Witnesses and neighbors provided limited information, and Carter’s mother shared that the shootings might be linked to a domestic dispute involving gang affiliations. Carter, a known Gangster Disciple, and Manning, who was shot later, seemed to be caught in gang-related violence. The investigation revealed connections to a previous domestic incident involving a firearm. Despite various leads and gang-related threats posted online by suspects, the case hit a dead end and was declared inactive by the Nashville Police Department.

Thank you for your unwavering support in uncovering rare and overlooked cases like this one. Surprisingly, a Google search reveals nothing about this incident. Imagine a police officer being shot four times, with no arrests made and the case going cold—it sounds almost unbelievable, doesn’t it? As always, I eagerly anticipate your thoughts and perspectives in the comments below. Thank you for staying engaged and vigilant.
