3 cops beat a handcuffed inmate in an elevator now they have amnesia
Three Richmond County deputies have been arrested for assaulting Vernon Cratic Jr., a man accused of shooting an officer in the face. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) reported that the assault took place after Cratic’s arrest in relation to the November 10 shooting of a deputy at a home on Bungalow Road. Cratic was allegedly hit in the face and stomach while handcuffed in an elevator at the sheriff’s station and was also slammed against an exterior wall of the station. The three deputies charged are Andrew Acosta, Quincy Cannon, and Robert Wilson. The GBI’s investigation is ongoing, and the deputies have been placed on administrative leave.
