Our story begins with a frantic 911 call made by the granddaughter of the man assaulted by police in Duluth Georgia.
You can hear “grandpa grandpa, no no no” as the call starts off and background voices can be heard in a chaotic environment. As the 911 dispatcher calms the child the story emerges. The child states there is a man fighting with her grandpa and his name is JOSEPH ROBERT PITTS of DEKALB COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE. Pitts is the DEKALB COUNTY helicopter pilot cop.
Pitts assault several people including a juvenile and was arrested. He was booked into the Gwinnett County Jail
The child stated the officer Jospeh Pitts struck her brother and grandfather.
The charges vanished!!
